I was getting my list together so I can get all the ingredients I need to start making some new frozen treats for Midnight when I remembered that I had not shared this cool product with all of you.
The above heart shape mold is called Plastis Ice Cube Tray and specifically designed for ice cubes. I got it from Ikea about 1 year or so ago for about 99 cents when it was on sale. It says, “water only” but I did manage to use other light liquids. Makes 12 cubes
For stabilization I put the mold inside a square 8×8 cake pan then I poured the liquid in the mold and covered the pan. It think took about 4 hours to get it nice and solid. The heart shaped cubes popped right out and since they are small 2 frozen treats were just enough to keep her happy.
I decided since I had way too much liquid left over to pop them all out and put then in a storage container and put them back in the freezer So I could make some frozen treats for Midnight that way I had plenty on hand without having to worry about running out and making more.
I will be testing out a new recipe and using this mold so I will definitely share it with you soon.
In the meantime, if you have a silicone ice cube tray like this or you get one before I blog the new recipe you can try this yummy pineapple recipe I posted awhile ago The Great Test Of Pineapple.
BTW, amazon.com has a whole bunch listed in different prices some to me are a bit pricey but I am sure you can find something similar at your local store. If want to check them out I added a link here Silicone Ice Cube Trays
Until next time, don’t forget to take time out to love up your pet.
