I was sitting on the sofa one evening early this week fiddling with my camera and lenses as usual cleaning them out. While Midnight was sitting not too far away from me in her favorite recliner taking her evening snooze.

In one of the moments I looked up from what I was doing I glanced over at Midnight to see if she had awakened from her nap. I noticed how she was lying there so peacefully and tranquil that I could not help but stare at her while she slept. I then saw how the only the bit of light near her hit the side of her face between her ear and the area above her eyes. I really liked the fact that it made me notice more of the details in that area of her face so you know I had to photograph it. I made sure that I only focused on that area to tell my story so when I look back at the photo I will remember it with a smile and how sweet my Midnight looked at that moment.
